Last nights Bondholders meeting

In a nutshell the club don't want Bondholders anymore and would like to discontinue the whole thing but can't for legal reasons.
They are introducing an amended bond with 14 changes to the original. All designed to piss off the holders.
The view from the retractable seats is awful. The view from the back of the upper tier is worse. If you are a bondholder in the Alpari and think you can choose a similar seat at the OS, forget it. All those seats are reserved, like Wembley for corporate.
8000 seats for away fans at OS. The rest for WHU fans but the current cat 1 type seats at £900 per season will be more like £1200 a season.
Cheaper season tickets for all? Don't think so...

Hmmm, hard to be calm about a place you worked at for 20 years and also seen the massive change from scrap yards & waste land to Olympic Park, but i am calm as i love the transformation and the fact West Ham will be a big part of it now.
It's the druids and their anything to slag the move with sensational stories of postcode gangs etc who should calm down many of them have never even been to Stratford but love to dig the place as a whole.

You're right i do know very little about that area and club, so can only take the football league show's piece for what it was and form my own soft opinion, it would be silly of me to form a strong opinion on a place i've rarely visited.
There would have been a great opportunity for those with a grievance to share their thoughts on tv as they stood outside the ground on a match day amongst the support. Odd that never occurred as i can imagine BBC cameras causing quite stir that way and Ade Edmonson seemed pleased to have given Chelsea a swerve for Exeter.

Penners, I haven't lived there for 20 years tbh, and do take my hat off to the hardcore couple hundred they've got there, who did take the club into their own hands to keep things going, particularly when they went non-league and could've sunk without trace like say Darlington.
But there are not 3,000 people like that - revisit the place enough times to be aware, that the normal match day going crowd, (outside of the aforementioned couple hundred hardcore), are made up of the same type of people, who would've been going in 1976, i.e. they'll have the same amount of happy with anything types vs 'moaners', as pretty much any club in the football league.

Ex. would you almost say that the football league show lied to make the situation seem better than it is, and in fact there are loads of people unhappy with things happening in the club?

Well EX, the football league show's piece put on a happy front of supporter ownership and them sticking by them no matter what their plight is. It was almost as if they were saying good riddance to the moaners.

You're right, they're going to ensure that those people sitting low down will be looking at the back of people's heads. There will definitely be no complaints if that happened.

Pagey: You might not like being characterised as a simpleton but you're not making a very good case for not being.
You see, it's quite simple, the inner bowl is not the same one that I presume you sat in during the Olympics. It's new and retractable, and from what I understand the rake is shallower than the original. Therefore it's more likely that your view will be obscured by people in front of you. Still, mustn't grumble, it'll be a bit like standing on the south bank, but miles from the action.
Can any of you pro O.S. explain to me why clubs across europe have been moving out of athletics stadiums into purpose built football stadiums if the athletics stadiums are so great.
